The Rise of the Generalist

I believe that ,although not widely accepted or sought after, being a generalist has afforded me a broader set of skills and learning experiences. Most organizations focus on individuals that are highly specialized vs. those that have interdisciplinary problem solving skills. I feel that a shift is occurring and more and more companies are going to start to seek out more of a generalist mindset to hep in solving complex problems.
